I have the feeling that ESME should head for the attic. There has been no commit since August of 2012. Our last release was in 2011. There is no traffic on the mailing lists.
I have no idea how many downloads of our code have occurred over the last year but it can't be much. We could probably get three PMC members (notice how I'm not saying "active PMC members") to vote on a release but, to be truthful, I'm pretty sure that a release is unlikely in the future. D.
