Alin, I took a pass at modifying your patch to be inside R4SearchPolicyCore,
could you check it out and see that it still works for your case? If so, then
we are in pretty good shape modulo the TODO comments I have in there. If we can
get this modified patch working, then to have full singleton support we only
need to extend verifySingleton() to look into the pending resolve
candidates...but we can consider this a good start. :-)
