Hi Saranash,

The API can be open source. The scoring and lending platform is separate and
not open source as the AI models are built around customer business cases,
business rules, available data, demographics, workflow, etc. An Open API could
help standardize the interface making integration easier for scoring platform,
but it would require adoption by other vendors. CGAP is promoting Open APIs for
financial inclusion.

I am interested to learn more about what you are doing but let’s take it off
this list.

Thanks!

Do you wish to make it open source? What providers do you support at this
point?.

Oh so you have developed your own credit rating engine.

Do you wish to integrate economic compatible social credit rating .

It starts with peer to peer model, to create an economic equilibrium.

I can share a detailed document.

Our current APIs differ between customers as the API parameters map to features
used in the scoring models developed for each use case. Further, the data
differs significantly between MSME, Consumer, home, vehicle, SHG/JLG, and Agri
loans. We have developed a common data model to uniquely describe each data
point we can use for a variety of loan types and customer profile parameters to
drive segmentation, reporting, and messaging. I think we can leverage the
common data model to create robust, open, and general purpose API specification
for communicating with external credit scoring or lending decision platforms.

To make this work, a specification doc should be written up and issues broken
down for others to pickup.

For now, Steve, you could send a PR with your initial implementation assuming
you are doing this in an Open Source context..

Hi,

Our plan going forward it to develop a standard integration for Mifos to
provide credit scores or full lending decisions. If there is anyone on the
list interested in working with us to develop that, we are interested in
working with you.

Hi team,

We were looking at integrations to determine the credit score of a customer.
Currently we use Mifos and Apache Fineract service to issues loans to
customers. Do you have any APIs in Mifos to determine the customer's credit
score. If yes, is this score across other financial systems or is it specific
to Mifos only. Could you share with us the APIs, if any.

Sharon
