The other (conflicting) patch i had submitted a week or so ago supports a profile called hadoop2.0. Currently in flume we have a profile called hadoop-0.23 which also has similar purpose. Do we want to have a separate hadoop-2.0 and a hadoop-0.23 profiles ?
I have been talking to the HBase folks regarding Hadoop2 binaries from their official release. They plan to publish both hadoop1&2 versions separately. The hadoop version will have a version with have a distinguishing suffix of '-hadoop2'. Here is the HBase patch .. https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-6929 In our flume hadoop2 profile we will basically need to use the -hadoop2 version suffix for HBase. -roshan On Wed, Oct 17, 2012 at 12:50 PM, Hari Shreedharan (JIRA) <[email protected]>wrote: > > [ > https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLUME-1651?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13478304#comment-13478304] > > Hari Shreedharan commented on FLUME-1651: > ----------------------------------------- > > +1.
