The feature does not introduce the mechanism to store passwords. It just
allows to control the existing mechanism using UI. The core API and the
storing process is pretty old. So the spec contains only the
specification for the new feature.
As I understood, you are interested in the configuration part of the
storing process. Please take a look to the Common.xcs in the officecfg
project. The "Passwords" group describes the configuration part that is
used in this case.

used to encrypt them and, more important, the location where they are
