I can't understand your problem. Either you are a developer, then you
know the xcu file. Or you are a user, then use the UI. I don't want
users to hack in  xcu files. And moreover, user profiles usually are in
hidden directories. We shouldn't advertize that by documenting it for
"simple" users.
