@arjun4084346 I don't think that will break anything, but it will require
some refractor on the old API and I do see we had assumption in a lot places
that update is same as add. For me, adding this new class does not introduce
any duplicity (as we expand the existing class), also it helps keep the new
feature separate from the old API, and it will be easy for us to roll back via
config if there is any issue when we enable the change
