Madhawa Gunasekara commented on GORA-527:
-----------------------------------------

Hi [~sa...@kth.se],

Thanks for your interest in the project. I appreciate your ideas. Those are
really good. However, We have some GSOC ideas as well, suggested by
[~alfonso.nishikawa]. you can check those also.
 * https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GORA-557 - Add support for MongoDB
 to GoraExplorer
 * https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GORA-558 - Add support for
 Cassandra to GoraExplorer
 * https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GORA-559 - Improve gora-pig's
 GoraStorage with push down filters

However I recommend you to first familiar with project, so you can play with
the samples, and also you can do some minor bug fixing as well. You can refer
this comment to get and idea about reporting and documentation. I wish you all
the best with GSOC.

Thanks,
 Madhawa

> Redis is an open source (BSD licensed), in-memory data structure store, used
> as a database, cache and message broker. [1]. It's better if Gora can used
> for redis db as well.
> This jira is created to provide Redis compatibility for GORA
