I have no experience of Eclipse+Git, nor do I know much about creating pull
requests. I would recommend using git from the command line if possible.

The first thing to do is to get a pull request submitted. If you can send
your github details somebody might be able to help. Then you should be able
to follow the instructions in
https://github.com/edx/edx-platform/wiki/How-to-Rebase-a-Pull-Request to
rebase this pull request against the latests in master.

I guess in hindsight it would have been better to make a few small changes
and submit them, rather than waiting until a lot of work has been done!
