I have posted on

a proposal for a (UNO) component based framework for the Impress and
Draw applications. The goal of this framework is the restructuring of
Impress and Draw from their current monolithic state into an open,
flexible, and extensible framework. With the help of this framework it
will become much easier to add new functionality.
This proposal is a first draft. I have intentionally left out details
and have concentrated instead on the general architecture. The further
development of this proposal and the actual framework relies on your
help and comments.
