There's no harm in merging these modules - both could profit from

You know that both Impress and Draw are the same code base and the
same module: 'sd'?

That's why I am proposing to get rid of this useless separation between
"Draw" and "Impress" - especially as this component is more than drawing
and impressing ppl ... maybe both should simply be merged into "Publish"
or whatever the new module could be called ...

And I am proposing against it, clearly you are seen things on a very different way that I am seeing them. You are thinking from a designer perspective, I am seeing it from a general user perspective. If we get rid of Impress, people will think that OOo just abandoned powerpoint. The hordes of email asking for "bring OOo Powerpoint back" will haunt us from decades to come.

FreeHand has Web-Export, Presentation features etc ... and is one of the
few applications (like Draw) out there, that supports multiple documents
in one file - which is an awesome and absolutely necessary feature for
any kind of design process, as you evolve your logos step by step (usually).

Does Freehand has animation? 3D modeling?

Draw just needs some features from FreeHand and Inkscape and others to
become a real whooping component ... and I think it should be feasable.

Which of those whopping features are currently in impress?
