after browsing my old code I realised that the "highlighting mode"
needs information on the rectangle enclosing the link text, so for the
time being I'd rather leave that out, since I think that this may need
changes in the PDF filter code (or not ? let me know it...).

for the time being, I think that patches will do.

In the meantime, I'd see how the CWS system works.

One last thing: I work on this only in my spare time, so don't worry
if I'm somewhat slow of answer to questions, discussions, etc..
