It's great to see this happen. Thank you for joining our efforts. I guess you will have quite some questions about the code (seeing that it is in large parts undocumented which you can blame me for).

Especially PDF/A support seems to be a point of interest to many institutional users. May I also mention Giuseppe ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) who wrote our encrypted PDF support as well as the support for user access permissions. He also mentioned an interest in doing PDF/A support.

As far as I remember most of PDF/A can be achieved by switching off some features (like form controls), another point is embedding fonts for even the 14 base fonts. Still another point is kind of "pretty printing" our PDF like ensuring that all objects begin on a new line.

Kind regards, pl

Hello!

I have just joined this list at Philipp's recommendation...

I am writing to let you folks know that Adobe is quite interested in working
with you on improving the quality and functionality of your PDF output - and
especially seeing support for PDF/A (ISO 19005) added.

I don't have actual coding commitments at this time, though I am working to
see that accomplished - but we are certainly reviewing your code and PDF
output, at least offering suggestions/recommendations if not actual patches.

Hopefully this will be the start of an excellent relationship!

Leonard
