@jonenst I don't know anything about proxy auth, so I can't really propose a specific behavior here. Is this feature used in real life? Can proxy auth be handled by the operating system (cf. `-Djava.net.useSystemProxies=true`)? Is there a convention for configuring _sensible_ proxy auth, using pubkeys or HMAC or something?
