Ubuntu 22.04 was just released and has some installation/dependency issues.
LTS users are probably going to wait till 22.04.1 (
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+milestone/ubuntu-22.04.1)

Not sure if 22.04 binaries will be backward compatible. 20.04 has a larger
userbase and might be forward compatible.
