Totally agree. It's like Java geeks look for ways to make simple
things complex.


And, hey, if we want to do that instead, make the namespace "ibatis"
instead of com.ibatis or org.apache.ibatis, that works for me. Every
revolution has to start somewhere.

AFAIK, there's no JSR or hard rule that says we have to use a
fully-qualified domain name. It's just one of the Sun coding
conventions for Java, and I'm sure we already break a couple of those.
