Hey folks, As discussed across various syncs, we're aiming to get the baseline V4 AMT spec PR <https://github.com/apache/iceberg/pull/16025> into the repo.
To be clear, this is like many of the other spec votes we've done so far where the vote is specifically for merging the changes into the main repo and this is *not* a vote for adoption. Aspects like encryption, specific requirements for column file updates, dropping the partition tuple, and other areas can be iterated on later; this vote is largely just to get a set of baseline changes in that won't require extensive rebasing given all the other v4 changes that are ongoing. Lastly, I want to thank everyone involved. Even though this is a baseline PR, it represents many months of effort and thoughtful discussion and reasoning from many people. Thanks, Amogh Jahagirdar
