>"Rule the cloud" is a bit lame sounding to me, why not "Cloud interfaces, >simplified" - this slogan does a great deal to invite people into something >that appears complex to begin with.
I've been trying to put that slogan, but didn't succeed at using it and keeping a good-looking "introduction box". I'm not good at CSS, etc. If you really think that should be changed, I'd really appreciate your commit to change that by keeping a consistent and good-looking aspect! :) >I think there are too many links, especially the download link being duplicated Yes, it is duplicated, but I think having all main buttons in the main box is a good idea. I agree with @demobox that having a link/button just in the first place the eyes will go is a good idea. users shouldn't have to "find" the buttons. IMO the landing page should provide a clear access to every important page that helps users get started. >The content at the bottom could be dynamically loaded on a mouse over to make >it simpler I like the idea of having all the content displayed and not relying on the user to "roll the mouse over somewhere" to display more content. A quick look should give a good overview of the project, and I think the current landing page doesn't have too much content to "scare" newcomers. Also, what about tablets and mobile devices? Now the site can be displayed there too, and the look and feel is not too ugly (only the main logo being too big is what seems a bit ugly). --- Reply to this email directly or view it on GitHub: https://github.com/jclouds/jclouds-site/pull/51#issuecomment-31811695
