Unfortunately, I'm not super familiar with the codebase so I don't know how this gets called. I don't know what the best approach is but IMHO, this parsing stuff should be refactored to one method that can parse pretty much any valid iso8601 expression.
I can look into this later this month, but right now I just applied this fix for me locally. So if someone else wants to do the refactoring in the meantime, that'd be great.
