Andy Seaborne commented on JENA-582:
------------------------------------
The scripts around our commands in "apache-jena" aren't setup to work with the
fuseki jar. It is not just a case of putting jena-cmds on the Fuseki2 download
- we end up with two variations of the scripts.
Fuseki already includes all the Java for the command so that "java -cp
fuseki-jar ..." works. That includes tdb.tdbloader. Simple wrappers for them
is more practical.
For tdloader2 itself, it is different as it is not just java code. It needs the
whole of jena-cmds setup and it does not run on MS Windows.
As it is just tdbloader2, and tdbloader1 does a pretty decent job for most
datasets, adding complexity seems to be quite a cost for marginal benefit.
tdbloader2 is a "power user" tool - getting the "apache-jena" download seems
reasonable to me.
Propose to close this "won't fix".
