We discourage it. RubyGems doesn't handle multiple platform gems installed in the same location as well as we'd like.
In short, should I upload ruby-debug-base-0.9.3-java.gem to debug-commons? Or should we wait? It's light work of course and I'm happy to do it, but I don't want to inadvertently cause anybody else grief.
