Arturo Bernal commented on JSPWIKI-372:
---------------------------------------

Measured on current master with the parser. For the text in the report (level
1, level 2, a line of text starting at the left margin, then another level 2
entry) the list ends at the line of text, and the last entry opens a new list:
the output is the first list, the text as plain text, and then a list whose
item holds another list, so the last line gets two bullet levels. That is what
the report shows. With four spaces in front of the line of text, as Janne
described in the comments, the text stays inside the level 2 item and the last
entry is a sibling in the same single list. Something in the report did not
reproduce: two level 2 entries after the text give list items, with no bold
text between the markers. So what is left is whether a line without leading
spaces should end the list; the current behaviour matches what Janne described.
I leave the ticket open.

> If you write text between 2 entries of a bulleted list, the list is displayed
> wrong. For example
> * level 1
> ** level 2
> some text between
> ** should also be level 2
> causes the last line to be displayed with level 1 AND level 2 bullets. (works
> both on 2.6.2 and sandbox.jspwiki.org - 2.8.0-beta-1).
> If you add another ** level 2 entry you get bold text between ** and **
> instead of list entries (on 2.6.2, doesn't work on sandbox)
