Actually, we never were in disagreement; Jesús just wanted to emphasize the kind of debates we *don't* want to see regarding the Catalan language. > > Should we rename the Catalan Native Language project to something like > > "Catalan/Valencian/Balear Native Lang Project" or something like that? > > I know I'm not coining a Catalunyan term here, but something along the > lines of Native-Lang Project of the "Catalanity" (or, if you understand > french: "Catalanité"). A term that would refer not to precise (and > highly imprecise) locations but to the Catalan culture, universe and > spirit.... Personally, I don't see a big need to rename the project unless Jesús likes a proposal like this one specially. I, for one, am OK with the project retaining the current name. I'm probably more interested in the weird locale problems we might encounter when using an uncommon locale name like [EMAIL PROTECTED] ;) Charles, I don't know of any effort to provide a Balearic variant, for OOo or any other Free Software project. The language reality in the Balearic Islands is quite different to what you can find in the Valencian territory, fortunately. Thanks for your support!
