thanks for the response. i checked out the links you gave. yes it does seem that localization to Tagalog is not yet part of the projects. but by my understanding, language localization aims to translate OOo to different, localized, languages. while applying this to all languages, and in this particular instance, the tagalog language, would indeed be a good idea and is ideal, i feel that equal importance should be placed in improving the spell checker dictionary for tagalog (tl_PH) found at the wiki - aside from the fact that 90% safely, of those who would be needing OOo to be localized to tagalog, would be able to read and write in english. of course, I'm all go for this project!
i have checked out the Linucomponent Sub-project for Spell Checking and Dictionaries, and found instructions on how to go about creating a dictionary for a particular language. should this same procedure also be followed if the project only wishes to add some more words into an already existing dictionary (in this case, the tl_PH.dic)?
