This varies from country to country.
In the US, one can't. In Canada, one can.

Not an issue.
The spell checker will, in theory at least, ensure that they are
correctly spelled.
[It probably would be a good idea to include them both with, and
without the registered trademark symbol.]
FYI, in some states of the US, all perscriptions have to be computer print outs.
