If all three cfoutputs are acting on the same query, use group in the outter
most one but group on something unique like a row id.

<cfoutput query="someQuery" group="UniqueID">

        <cfoutput group="TheRealGroupingColumn">

                <cfoutput>

                </cfoutput>

        </cfoutput>

</cfoutput>

No idea if that works, just an idea.

That or cfloop and manage the grouping yourself.

But I get the feeling from your last email that there is something that
you aren't tell me....
What is the purpose of that outer loop? what are you displaying and
