But did you mean to be looping the entire query again inside a loop of 
the grouped query?

            <cfloop query="components">
                <cfif componentID EQ currentcomponent>
                    <cfgridrow data="#fieldID#,#fieldName#,#data#">
                </cfif>
            </cfloop>

You possibly just want :
<cfoutput>
    <cfgridrow data="#fieldID#,#fieldName#,#data#">
</cfoutput>

to get the items for that component.
