I have some code which creates a couple of structures for use on a later
page.
 This data is pretty much going to remain static as it is historical data.

Would it be OK to store these structures in application scoped variables
that will reside in memory to save a bit of processing time? (i.e. not
having to construct the structures each time the page is called)
 If yes, how long will they stay resident in memory? Until they are
explicitly deleted?
