This is must be a bug in CF7 - someone on the CF forums got the same error using his own code. I've created a stripped down version of my code for anyone to test out. It's stand alone code and will take 60 seconds to set up. See the readme.txt file in this zip.
http://hotfusion.cfdeveloper.co.uk/cfmailparam_gateway_bug.zip I'm desperate to find a fix for this. Adobe recently told me that they won't fix any bugs outside their normal product cycle unless we pay for an annual support contract. Paying them to fix their own bugs in a timely manor isn't particularly good. How do they get away with? As it stands we found a 404 bug but this won't be fixed until 7.0.2 is released and there's no guarantee this will fix the problem - Adobe won't investigate fully unless we pay for the support contract. MMAdobe must be one of the very few software publishers with this attitude. I've had an excellent response from Microsoft when reporting bugs and even little companies love to fix bugs within hours or days. Gary. On 5/29/06, Gary <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
The cfmailparam tag doesnt work within events when attaching an image to an email. CF7 throws a String index out of range: -1 error and points to my cfmailparam tag. If I remove it then it doesn't error. My code is a cfc that I adapted so it would run as an asychronous event. It run perfectly as a regular cfc but not as an event. That's why I'm thinking there's a bug in CF7. Has anyone else encountered this or something similar? I'm supposed to be launching a new site tomorrow which uses this functionality. I've posted details and sample code and a stack trace at the CF Forum. http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=21&threadid=1157769&enterthread=y Any thoughts? No matter how remote, I'll try anything! Thanks, Gary.
