I had this problem once with CF5. I'm afraid I can't remember what THE
solution was, but I did delete a load of stuff from the registry that CF
created. If your server had been using registry storage before you changed
it then it's possible some rubbish is already in there. Be careful though -
obviously.

You could always upgrade to BlueDragon if you don't need the latest features
of CF7. ;-)

No - the server uses a sql server database for its client variable
storage.

Is the server configured to use the registry for its client variables?
If it is, it should not be, as older versions of CF had problems with
tidying up after themselves, and the registry can become overloaded with
old client variables entries.
