you could use JS an image file to get the count? i.e. <a href='mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]' onclick="registerClick()">email us</a> <img src="null.gif" alt="" border="0" id="nullImage" /> <script ...> function registerClick() { img = document.getElementById('nullImage'); img.src = '/countme.cfm?rnd=' + Math.random(); } </script> countme.cfm will register the click. The link is simple Mailto: which of course fires up their email client. If I redirect the email link to another page which can capture the action is there a JS action that one could rely on that would fire up the visitors email client.
