Dear All,
I recently decided to re-install everything on my laptop due some configuration issues I was happening - and I thought, this would be a therapeutic exercises. I keep getting the following error in CFIDE 7 Connection verification failed for data source: blogcfcsql java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC Driver]Error establishing socket. Connection refused: connect The root cause was that: java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC Driver]Error establishing socket. Connection refused: connect Based on issues I had had with SQl2005, I figured that SQL2000 & a little poking around in the log files I've found that SQL Server 2000 is not listening to TCP/IP on my XPSP2 install. This occurs either by using a default instance install or a named instance install. With the later, I have even been into the registry to ensure that the correct port is has been set. Both the client & network utilities show that TCP/IP has been configured to listen on port 1433. However, the logs still show that SQL is only listening on shared memory or named pipes. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get this ****ing thing to work. At this rate I might be tempted to sell the dell lappie & buy a Mac! thanks in advanced, Jatin _______________________________________________ For details on ALL mailing lists and for joining or leaving lists, go to http://list.cfdeveloper.co.uk/mailman/listinfo -- CFDeveloper Sponsors:-
