>- see footer for list info -< The other option is to throttle the mail server which will allow CF and the db to do their job as efficiently as possible (getting it over and done with). Change the number of connections and similar settings on the mail server. Typically it would try to send 100's or 1000's of emails at once.
I'm not sure if it was a coincidence but when I last tried bulk sending, the rate of which they were sent grinded to a near halt after a couple of minutes. I'm wondering if it was because recipient mail servers thought it was a spam or DoS attack and limited how much they would take from my domain. Anyway, I've throttled our mail servers in the hope it will resolve the issue. Gary.
