Not my fault! The client is nervous about ColdFusion for whatever reason.
But does CF not still suffer from bottlenecks / memory leaks with big,
complex apps? Or would you say that's a programmer's issue?

What CFML is no longer fast and robust enough for you Damian?
Ruby on Rails is indeed as it says on the tin, but it doesn't really give
you anything you can't do in CFML. RoR essentially just wraps everything up
for you and takes care of all the hard work, which is exactly what CFML
does. Throw in an ORM like REACTOR, and you have the same thing.
If your just looking for something free and open source to replace
ColdFusion, then don't forget Railo or Open BlueDragon. If you are looking
to learn something new, then I guess RoR would be a good call.

Hi all,
sorry a bit off topic. Talking about a different language (duck for cover!).
1. Anyone had experience of Ruby on Rails? Is it as good as they say it
is? I need a robust and fast language for a new project.
2. Anyone know any good developers?
Thanks, Damien
