You need windows2000 advanced server which has clustering capability.
Otherwise you need a 3rd party solution.

You can use ntfrs in w2k to do this for coldfusion files.
For Sqlserver you need to configure PUBLICATIONS and SUBSCRIPTIONS in
Sqlserver.
I think you don't need any spl software.

OK, folks, this is gonna be a weird question (ok, pretty geeky), BUT:

Can I somehow mirror an SQL/CF server to another server?  Don't know if it
matters but they are in the same building...I want to make the 2nd one
redundant so that it reads/writes what is happening on the primary but can
be brought online immediately if the primary fails - kind of like a PDC/BDC
arrangement?  Is there special software I need?  Or can I do with within the
W 2k environment? Also, I can get a PKI certificate for the 2nd one so that
I can use https----
