why on earth would up copy your access database into the master database that is madness? you should create a seperate database in the sql server for it.
as for where it sits. well if you copied it into the master database, then that is where it sits. open the master database and there should be your tables. You really did answer your own question there. It sounds more like your lack of understand of SQL server and databases rather than a problem with CFMX docs. Do you know how to use enterprise manager and create new databases and view them etc ? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:Paul_Swingewood@;birmingham.gov.uk] Sent: 15 November 2002 15:32 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [ cf-dev ] SQL 2000 CFMX - HELP !!!! Hmmm, Heres what I did I copied an access 2000 database to wwwroot/databases I then used the import/export wizard to make the SQL bits ... I went with all of the default values and used windows authentication All imported and exported ok to master ???? I have no idea where this database now sits on the server ???? When I try to connect via mx server I always get an error (Aghhhhh!!!!! - an explanation here would be nice allaireomedia!) I have used the sql connector and called it docsdata and the database name as master as I don't remember calling it anything else ..... Whats going on? This used to be easy with access and cf4.5 .... :( Regards - Paul ************************************************************* This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed.
