He's got tricks like using a variable in an unnamed scope so it can`t be
seen from outside the component or when yu have <cfcomponent hint="I am
broke"><cfset salary = "20"><cffunction name="new"> <cfargument
name="salary"><cfset salary = arguments.salary></cffunction></cfcomponent>
the salary variable wont be set, so use an underscore eg _salary in cfset
and more on same lines, I`ll go read it now some more

Hope ye all get the mates ye need for Christmas!

Jees, Hal Helms...he could have the whole of the CIA on me in 2 minutes, mea
culpe. The Pentagon processes all the emails traversing the globe at any one
time to pick out for him when his name gets a mention, that's how he was on
to me so fast.

cheers,

Colm

The problem with working around the "variable scoping issues", is that the
issues might get fixed.
