yea, *technically* a weblog is a series of posts arranged in some form of
chronological structure, which isn't correct for a faq.

I think the thing with most wikis (don't know about cfwiki) is that even if
some dilrod does publish a load of gunk, all previous answers are archived
and republishable.

So, yes, you probably still need an (occasional) administrator just to
oversee the quality of the FAQ, but at least you're making it easier for
someone to post a question and then for others to add answers (possibly more
than one) without having to dish out admin rights all the time.

Jeez, never thought I'd see myself standing up for wikis. I guess thats
because they always seem to be the most godawful looking things. Is it
possible to make one look decent(ish)?
