I thought of doing a faq ages ago, hence buying the domain, but never got the time to finish it off.
The way I thought to do it would be put into sections like the perl faq ( IO/file , Syntax , Regex etc... )and then have an editor for each section, that way you wouldn't need to do too much work each, everyone would know who was in charge of a particalurs section, and people would know who to send entries too. One additional thing I had thought of was a "What is the equivilent of "X" in some language in CFMX " basically a function X in CFMX = Function X in ASP = functionY in PHP etc... justin -----Original Message----- From: Aidan Whitehall [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 04 June 2003 14:52 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [ cf-dev ] ColdFusion FAQ > My concern is that with a wiki, its possible to get a load of BS in there, > when some numpty posts something that they think is right when its not. > > My thinking was that a blog can take comments publically, which can be > editted into a "definitive" answer, but in hindsight I'm not sure that a > blog would give the appropriate structure for an FAQ. Maybe I'm being nave, but I'd hope that if we give 5 people administrative control so that they can publish answers, none of them would publish stuff that was bollocks. At the very worst, you'd get something that might be slightly incorrect, but which would hopefully get picked up by one of the other 4. -- Aidan Whitehall <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Macromedia ColdFusion Developer Fairbanks Environmental Ltd +44 (0)1695 51775 Queen's Awards Winner 2003 <http://www.fairbanks.co.uk/go/awards> ________________________________________________________________________ This e-mail has been scanned for all viruses by Star Internet.
