Sure thing .. a friend of mine has written a site called www.urbangearguide.com which 
uses this technique very well. Im just waiting to hear from him on how he did it .. 
but I'm sure its just using apache .. I heard this is much easier to do in Apache 2 
but we all still run 1.3 as standard so my quest continues !

Anything I find I'll let everyone know !

Stephen, if you find anything half-way decent on mod_rewrite, can you post the URL? I 
was looking for the same thing over a month ago and didn't find anything other than 
what's in the Apache docs. Thanks.
