CFMX 6.1 allows you to do that natively.

I have a commerce app I'm writing which does that:

www.mysite.com/product.cfm/page=5/search=any+products/product=mySpiffingProd
uct

and I just reference those via normal url variables: eg if
(isDefined("url.page")) {}
