Apparently some people have had some success with this.

Others have upped the memmory to 1GB and found this helps.

Again the major issue is as MM states. Access is not to be used in
production environments.

I don't follow that advice myself sometimes but I have few low volume sites
that use them. The next step is either MSDE or MySQL (4+). This takes a
mental leap for your end-users.

You need to look at the high traffic Access sites and either move them back
to CF5 (eurgh) or migrate them to a better db.
