The problem persists on the latest version.
To reproduce it do the following - press modifier key <Control> and leaving it
pressed with mouse go to another application widow, do some scrolling there ,
then go back to the first window scroll there while keeping Control key
pressed. Do it several times the release the Control key. And see the dead
system. The mouse will move - but all the clicks will do nothing, keyboard is
dead, animation around the mouse pointer will die and leave some stopped frame
at the place where mouse was when you released the key.
But sound and all the networking servers will still work - so it is only compiz
that freezes.
I've tried to downgrade from compiz-fusion to beryl 2.1 - the bug is there as
well. And I am not sure that it it nvidia specific issue.
This is not Xorg bug - if I relplace compiz with metacity - i can do whatever I
want with my mouse and Control pressed and it is not freezing X.
