If you specify the "-c" option, you use the same package cache as the
host, if I understand correctly?
I was really suggesting using the "-C Use an alternate config file for
pacman" option, and suggest a pacman config with "CacheDir =
path/to/cache/dir".
It's a shame pacstrap can't forward generic pacman arguments to pacman.
As they are, I'm not sure either could work with a multi-disc setup,
because the user wouldn't know which disc to put in. But if there was a
way of informing them, perhaps using a package list, it could become a
possibility.

i only meant to underline that the "local pacstrap" feature is
trivial - it only requires that the cache of packages that were
downloaded by the parabolaiso build to NOT be deleted from the work
dir so that they will exist in the ISO - then you run `pacstrap -c
/mnt` and the -c directs pacstrap to use the local package cache
instead of the empty one in the chroot - this obviously increases the
ISO size but as i also said there is little utility in the
dual-architecture ISO which doubles the ISO size
also ive raised the issue of debian-style multi-disc "software packs"
