Are you trying to do it via ssh? It needs to be done from the local console on the IVI device. Sorry, forgot to mention that.

In there I’m using su app –c to execute the install as app, even though I’m currently root. So for example: su app –c “xwalkctl –I Modello_Homescreen.wgt” This allows you to satisfy the need of being root to install the rpm, and the need to be app when using xwalkctl. Hope that helps. I've been able to install and run apps but only as app user. I have been unable to do this as root. I have an rpm that installs the apps but I need to be able to run the xwalkctl instructions to install the app. How do I do that with an rpm. If this is an existing Jira issue please share with me. If you think I should post one let me know. This seems to be a simple 'sudo' like command that would allow me to run commands as app. Thanks, -- Art McGee Infotainment Engineer Jaguar Land Rover One World Trade Center, 121 Southwest Salmon Street, 11th Floor, Portland, Oregon, 97204 -- Art McGee Infotainment Engineer Jaguar Land Rover One World Trade Center, 121 Southwest Salmon Street, 11th Floor, Portland, Oregon, 97204
