Subject: Re: [Dev] GStreamer upgarding from 1.2.0 to 1.2.4 plan
Hi Yan,
Thanks for this upgrade !
A small remark on submissions to OBS: when there are multiple packages to
be upgraded, please use a group submission as described in the
documentation:
https://source.tizen.org/fr/documentation/developer-guide/getting-
started-guide/contributing-code-tizen?langredirect=1
See §3.1.2
This is a general warning to all maintainers: when there are multiple packages
to be upgraded in one shot, you *MUST* use group submissions.
If any of the posted packages fail in the prerelease builds, it will be
rejected.
Yan: for this upgrade of GStreamer, I strongly advise you to create a group
submission with the same commit ids as the individual submits. Let me know
by PM if you need more details and you'll have this done: Then I'll reject the
individual submission and we could start to validate the prerelease build with
all packages upgraded (on prerelease images).
PS: for Common, I hope you meant 'validation" :-)
Thanks for your commitment.

Subject: [Dev] GStreamer upgarding from 1.2.0 to 1.2.4 plan
Hi,
We're going to upgrade GStreamer in tizen.org tizen branch to latest
upstream stable version, so that Samsung peers could upload their changes
which is based on latest 1.2.4 version.
The upgrading will rebase current packaging files and Tizen local patches
(e.g. from IVI and SDK team) to the top of upstream 1.2.4, following Samsung
patches will be submitted via Gerrit.
The changes will firstly be validated in Tizen Common, then merged into
Tizen IVI (won't make it into the coming M14.2 release).
It's expected to be done by next week, we'll keep the progress updated
here in this mailing list, please raise your concern at any time, thanks.
