For what it's worth, the original proof of concept app for the W3C NFC API was based on cloudeebus/neard. It is a bit outdated now regarding the neard API, and there is already ongoing work to support NFC on Tizen with Crosswalk though.

This is not available precompiled at the moment. The decision at that
time was to make it available as community contribution; I'm still
waiting for the necessary repos to be created.

That's not the official way of doing NFC, but perhaps it's good enough
until there is official support. I don't know what the status of that
is.
