for the maven validation task by redefining the snapshot reposity to be local.
Uwe, I agree - I've reverted, and added the
{{<snapshots><enabled>false</enabled></snapshots>}} bit from your
maven-ant-tasks configuration, so that the Apache snapshot repo won't be
contacted at all.
