I had a look at the patch, and I have these comments.
First, I'm more than happy to add support to the connector to allow you to
select version "4.0" in addition to versions "2.0" and "3.0". I'll go ahead
and do that now in the CONNECTORS-470 branch. Then it should be possible to
make a decision as to what service to use based on the declared SharePoint
server version.
Second, since the response document for the Lists-based services differs in
format from the response document for the DspSts-based equivalent services, I
would refactor to try to pull the interpretation of the response XML document
into the getDocuments() method. I'll be happy to commit that change also to
the branch.
Once that's done it should be much easier to create a complete patch, do you
agree?
