I'm just trying to make some art standards for OOo with [EMAIL PROTECTED]
If not, everyone or every project will be using their own colors, themes, pictures and before we know it, we've got a miscellaneous of art that doesnt respect our own wishes.
I dont want to sound authoritative, but by using the art designers that [EMAIL PROTECTED] has, we could make one business card what could fit all needs, for quite a long time. Rather than have someone, in next month, that gets a new business card contest for l10n, edu, or any other project.

The art project was created for this particularly purpose. To mantain and produce art for every project of OpenOffice.org.
A lot of OOo art is done outside the art project, and that's *good* as it is more efficient. The OOoAuthors logo was done at OOoAuthors, the French seagulls were done by the French project.
this is one of the biggest failures of the Art project: it wasn't able (until now at east) to attract people from other projects. (incontestably, is a failure, only look at the mailing list traffic this month).
By doing what you want here, we're just going to skip this project purpose, and the art should have an opinion about this cards, before someone use it.
No, we don't need to get approval from the art project, or anyone, to make a business card. You are just adding an arbitrary layer of bureocracy to something that should be utterly simple. If you don't like the look of the card, don't use it. No one is forcing you to.
i don't know, maybe Vitor intention was not to sound authoritative, for *complex* artwork probably is better to ask in a focused group, but this time is only about a simple business card, anyone can do such things, we even have premade wizards in OOo for the task.
